Xinya Provincial Technology R&D Center
The provincial-level technology research and development center of Xinxiang Xinya Paper Group covers an area of 6,060 square meters and a building area of 800 square meters. The company's annual investment in new product development accounts for about 2% of the company's sales revenue.
Since 2000, the R&D center has been headed by the chairman and party secretary Song Jingzhi of the group company, and has cooperated with Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, Tianjin University of Science and Technology, South China University of Technology, China Paper Development Corporation, Hubei Institute of Technology and other units. He has completed five major national science and technology research projects, science and technology development and innovation fund planning projects, and more than ten scientific and technological projects and scientific and technological development projects in Henan Province, which have made positive contributions to the promotion and application of domestic pulp and paper and advanced environmental protection technologies. The company has hired Professor Hou Shizhen, a famous alkali recovery expert from Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, and a senior engineer from the province's alkali recovery expert, Bao Baoquan, to work in the Group's technical center. After one year of research, it finally overcomed the difficulty in extracting the black liquor alkali from wheat straw pulp, which was difficult to evaporate and degrade. Xinya Paper Group makes the black liquor extraction rate of the 100 tons/day alkali recovery of the group company reach 90%, and the black liquor alkali recovery rate reach 85%. This achievement has reached the domestic leading level. In the 2004 China Papermaking Society Alkali Recovery Professional Committee, it was well received by domestic alkali recovery experts. In 2003, the R&D Center and the National Engineering Research Center for Paper and Pollution Control from South China University of Technology and Shaanxi University of Science and Technology cooperated to complete the research on the middle-stage water treatment of pulp and paper, so that all the wastewater of the whole group can reach the stable level and be discharged. It has been highly praised by experts from the province and the provincial Environmental Protection Bureau. In 2004, the R&D Center undertook the technical development of the national key technology innovation project issued by the former State Economic and Trade Commission—APMP Yangmu Chemical Machinery to produce white cardboard. The project has been completed.
At present, the R&D center has cooperated with the Institute of Pulp and Paper of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, the Technical Center of Shandong Wenrui Group Co., Ltd., and the Light Chemical Department of Hubei Institute of Technology to carry out research on the production of A-grade corrugated base paper for APSP cotton-pulp machine pulp. Approved by the Henan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the R&D Center is currently working with the National Paper Standardization Technical Committee to draft and set the industry standard for Corrugated Paper.
Since its establishment, the Xinya Group R&D Center has researched and gained 12 technical achievements in pulp, paper and practical environmental-friendly models. At present, the R&D center has gathered a group of talents, and has a number of backbones in engineering technology application development research. The R&D center has 60 full-time engineers and technicians, including 7 nationally renowned experts, 6 doctors and 10 masters.
