To promote our country's excellent traditional culture and cultivate students' national pride and sense of honor, on December 8, the Xinxiang County Education and Sports Bureau held a "Classical Recitation Competition for Primary and Secondary Schools" in the county's television station studio, where fifth-grade students from Xinzhang School performed the classic recitation of "Mulan Ci" and won the "Second Prize."
Hua Mulan disguised herself as a man to take her father's place in the army, portraying a touching story intertwined with familial separation, showcasing the heroic spirit of women who do not yield to men. This has made her one of the most well-known historical cultural figures in our country's history, with a profound influence on future generations.
On the stage of the recitation competition, the students were dressed in ancient costumes, each full of spirit and vigor. A girl in a red ancient long dress, wearing a hairpin, stood in the center of the stage, becoming the focal point. All the audience seemed to instantly travel through time and space, listening to Mulan's sighs of "Last night I saw the military order, the Khan is mustering the troops. The military book has twelve volumes, each volume has my father's name," feeling Mulan's deep sorrow, witnessing her bravery on the battlefield, and sharing her joy of returning home... The heartfelt recitation and wonderful performance recreated the image of "A soldier's ambition to serve the country, a daughter's love that lingers in dreams," presenting the audience with a visual and spiritual feast that shocked the soul and resonated deeply, with continuous applause erupting from the audience.
It is reported that after receiving the notice from the county's Education and Sports Bureau about the recitation competition, the school's leadership attached great importance to it, carefully organized and arranged it, and provided substantial resource support, with Teacher Miao Yanhua serving as the instructor. Fifth-grade students actively participated in practice, and the enthusiastic preparation of the school's teachers and students laid a solid foundation for winning this honor in the competition.
As early as last year's National Day, the school specifically sent teachers to Jinan to learn classical recitation, and subsequently became one of the first schools in the surrounding area to carry out the "Read Classics, Learn to Be a Person" educational activity. Over the past year, the school has created a good atmosphere for learning classical culture, and the teaching team has passionately led students into the temple of traditional culture, experiencing the charm of classical literature.
Classical recitation is like a gentle breeze rippling through the campus, like a spring breeze cleansing the hearts of teachers and students. Classical recitation is like a beautiful landscape, enriching the moral education connotation of the school, broadening students' new horizons, and exercising their language expression skills. Children cultivate virtue and learn to be good people through reading classics. To better inherit the classics and create a positive academic atmosphere, Xinzhang School will continue to carry out Chinese classical recitation activities, making recitation a new norm, allowing classical literature to continue to nourish students' pure hearts and shape their excellent character!
